Spartanburg, SC – DUI Crash Kills One On Saturday Morning

Spartanburg, SC (November 25, 2018) – A drunk driving crash in Spartanburg led to the death of one person on Saturday, November 24th.

State troopers responded to Highway 101 near Berry Shoals Road around 5:30 am in reference to a head-on collision.  When they arrived, officials discovered that Daniel McCall was traveling southbound when he suddenly crossed over into the northbound lanes. While in the northbound lanes, he collided head-on with a pickup truck killing the other driver.

Authorities have since identified the victim as 67-year-old Stanley Patrick.

McCall has been charged with felony DUI with death, driving under suspension and operating uninsured for his role in causing the crash.
